Originally incorporated in 1976 as the Metrolina Charlotte Chapter, the NCSA was a pioneering branch of the American Subcontractors Association and served the Charlotte area. Later, the Charlotte Chapter joined the American Subcontractors Association of the Carolinas, a local office of the American Subcontractors Association.
On June 25, 2013, the Charlotte Chapter voted overwhelmingly to disassociate from the American Subcontractors Association of the Carolinas, Inc., as well as from the American Subcontractors Association’s national organization. We voted to rename our organization the North Carolina Subcontractors Alliance, and set out with a fresh perspective to work toward the precise needs of our local subcontractors.
Since this change, our organization has already experienced vast improvements. With a devoted, creative and forward-thinking Board of Directors, the NCSA works toward uniting the subcontracting community by offering solutions for education that are pertinent to our times, fresh and engaging networking opportunities, and more immediate attention to state and national legislation that directly affects the business of subcontracting.
NCSA is a member of the National Subcontractors Alliance, connecting our membership with hundreds of subcontractors nationwide for additional support for their businesses.
